Polly Hartvigson, and I am an addict… a food addict. Not just any food, but delicious, tasty, homemade, nutritious, and creative food. I come by it honestly; both of my parents were excellent cooks and passed that love on to me.
I married a poor boy and raised eight starving children, which meant creative, budget-friendly cooking became a way of life. For over 40 years, I've practiced turning simple ingredients into nourishing, flavorful meals. Today, I want to encourage others to cook at home, saving time and money, enjoying better nutrition, savoring delicious flavors, and rediscovering the joy of cooking.
I have lived in the San Jacinto Valley for 34 years, during which time I homeschooled our eight children. My husband and I live on five acres, where we have organically gardened and raised chickens, turkeys, geese, goats (making my own cheese and yogurt), cows, pigs, and now, grandchildren! When I'm not in the kitchen, I spend most of my day painting, which is my second great love.
Sharalee Boyer grew up in Littleton, Colorado. In 2003, she and her husband relocated to Hemet, California, where they began serving at Valley Community Church. During this time, Sharalee stepped into the role of church pianist, using her musical gifts to support worship and ministry.
In 2012, Sharalee began teaching piano lessons to students aged five to eighty, while also serving as an accompanist for the Sun Lakes Chorale. Over the years, she performed in numerous concerts and recorded two CDs. As her creative journey continued to unfold, she launched a YouTube channel—never imagining the wide-reaching impact it would one day have.
In 2019, Sharalee made the difficult yet faith-filled decision to step away from private teaching and the chorale to fully focus on her church calling and the growth of her online community.
Today, Sharalee's YouTube channel has grown to over 230,000 subscribers and 38 million views. Through her platform, she shares beauty tutorials, practical life tips, and heartfelt encouragement rooted in everyday experiences. She continues to balance life as a pastor's wife, professional musician, puppy mama, and content creator, and she is passionate about inspiring women to embrace the season they are in and the gifts God has given them.
